Mantse Derby On A Foreign Land

The Mantse Derby has been a long-standing football rivalry between two biggest clubs in Ghana - Accra Great Olympics and Accra Hearts of Oak. 

For over a decade, these two teams have been battling it out on the pitch, each determined to claim victory over the other.

But this season, the match will not be honored at its usual venue, the Accra Sports Stadium, where the excitement had always accompanied the game. This is due to the unavailability of the Accra Sports Stadium. The highly anticipated match has been moved to a foreign land, the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, Kumasi. 

The tenants, Accra Great Olympics, have been forced to adopt the Baba Yara Sports Stadium - a venue Hearts of Oak has made a lot of rich football history in their over 100 years in existence. In fact, to every Hearts fan, the Phobians has once again rented the Baba Yara Sports Stadium to Olympics making them another tenant on a foreign land.

Football fans from all over the globe will be eagerly anticipating to witness the match, which has been set to take place on Friday night, 22nd December, 2023. It would not be an ordinary match, but a match that would serve as a Christmas present for the fans of both clubs, especially due to the entertaining delivery of both clubs in recent times.

The two clubs have a long history of fierce competition between them, with Olympics being more dominant in recent years, though they have found every situation a hard knot to crack.

Most of the last five matches have all been in the tenants' favour. But team Hearts of Oak is determined to turn the tables and claim victory in this crucial match.
