Hearts hammer RTU

Hearts hammer RTU

The victory over RTU was enough to give Hearts the confidence the team needed for the rest of the league games.

With 24 points bagged from 18 matches, the team is hoping to push for more points in the second round of the competition.

The first half was a closely contested one, with both teams creating chances but unable to find the back of the net. However, in the 18th minute, Hamza Issah received a through pass from Kassim Cisse, which he controlled on his chest and shot the ball past the RTU goalkeeper to give us the lead. The goal lifted the spirit of the team, and they were determined to add to the goal. Their determination paid off in the 40th minute when Salifu Ibrahim, in his dazzling form, delivered a cross into the box of RTU for Hamza to once again score. The team held on to the lead until the end of the first half.

In the second half, RTU came out strongly, looking to score to reduce the goal deficit. However, our defence stood firm and kept them at bay.

In the 72nd minutes, substitute Asubonteng got on the score sheet after being set up by Issah Kukah. Issah dazzled with the ball. And with the RTU defender predicting his move, he changed the direction of attention and assists Enoch Asubonteng to score his first goal of the season. His shot found the back of the net, making it three and giving us a comfortable cushion.

The rest of the game was played out with both teams creating chances, but unable to convert them. Our goalkeeper, Richard Attah, was outstanding and made some crucial saves to ensure that we kept a clean sheet and secured the three points.

The victory was a much-needed one for the team to call off the bluff of RTU.

The win also gives us a boost of confidence going into the rest of the league. With 24 points from 18 matches, we are determined to push for more points in the second round and climb up the league table.

Coach Ouattara expressed his delight with the performance of the team and praised the players for their determination and hard work. He also thanked the fans for their support and urged them to continue supporting the team in the remainder of the season.

The victory against RTU has now set the tone for the second round of the league, and we are determined to continue our winning streak and finish the season on a high.

Our next match is against Nsoatrema FC, and we are confident that we can get a positive result against them.

"We would like to thank our fans for their unwavering support, and we promise to keep working hard and make them proud," our two goal hero, Hamza, said.
