Baba Adamu Completes 2-year Deal To Hearts:

Accra, Ghana - July 18, 2025: Accra Hearts of Oak has completed the signing of Golden Kick's promising young defender Baba Adamu on a two-year deal.

The 21-year-old Centre-back, known for his resilience, composure, and commanding presence, is a left-footed gem who made waves with his exploits in the just ended football season.

His standout performances in the just-ended season, particularly in the MTN FA Cup campaign where he helped Golden Kick advance to the final against Asante Kotoko, caught the eye of many, including the technical handlers of the Phobians.

Speaking after sealing his move to one of Africa's giant clubs and Ghana's biggest football club, an emotional Baba Adamu shared what the deal meant to him.

"I grew up supporting the club. And to top it up, my father is a staunch Phobian. To me, joining this club is a dream come true, which i will forever cherish. I know the huge challenge here, but I am sure with the guidance I will receive here, I will be successful because that's the big aim." he said.

Adamu’s move isn’t just a professional milestone — it’s a deeply personal journey fulfilled. His childhood football journey was coloured by the flamboyant rainbow colours of the Phobians, and now he gets the opportunity to wear the badge he has long adored.

At Golden Kick, the young defender was a pillar in their defensive unit, marshalling the backline with maturity far beyond his age and to the admiration all that witnessed his play. His ability to read the game, coupled with his aerial strength and precise distribution, made him a standout performer all season.

He becomes the latest addition to Hearts of Oak’s project under Coach Didi Dramani as the club looks to strengthen its squad ahead of the upcoming 2025/26 Ghana football season.

With passion, talent, and a deep-rooted connection to the club, Adamu is determined to make his mark in the rainbow colours — not just as a player, but as a fan living his dream on the pitch.

He previously played Soccer Academy in Kpando, Paga United (Div 2), then he played GoldenKicks (Div 1) before joining his dream club Accra Hearts of Oak.
